BIOGRAPHY OF PROF. BENEDETTE NNEKA OKEZIE,  FERIN, PH.D, MBA - EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Professor Benedette Okezie is a retail-oriented and highly motivated Professor of Environmental Accounting; she is a forward-looking sound Academic, given to reliability and professionalism.  She was  the Pioneer Head of the Department, and served in the same office in many other terms.  She has published in international and local journals.  She is highly adaptable and possess a reliable work ethic, eager to contribute to team values such as excellence, collaboration and professional growth.  She has demonstrated outstanding organizational and leadership skills; has a proactive mindset with a powerful commitment, character and competence.  

She has a strong foundation in data management, analysis, and administrative skills. She is proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced ), Power BI, and PostgreSQL, with the ability to handle large datasets accurately and efficiently to proffer solutions in life situations.  

Professor Benedette Nneka Okezie sits at the Managerial Board of AEFUNAI Journal of Behavioural Accounting and serves as the Editor – In- Chief.


BIOGRAPHY OF ISAAC MONDAY IKPOR, PH.D - MANAGING EDITOR

Isaac Monday Ikpor, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Accounting and the Head of the Department of Accountancy at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Nigeria. He previously served two terms as Head of the Department of Business Administration (2019–2021) and the coordinator ICAN Accounting technician scheme at the University.

Dr. Ikpor earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Ebonyi State University, Nigeria in 2015, an M.Sc. in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Hertfordshire, UK (2011), and a B.Sc. In Accounting (2006). He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Fellow of the Centre for Climate Change and Development, and a Fellow of the Institute of Classic Entrepreneurs of Nigeria. During his PhD, his work was presented in different accounting conferences in South Africa, and United Kingdom.

His research interests span sustainability accounting and reporting, corporate governance, modern slavery accounting, disclosure practices, taxation, and public sector accounting reforms—with a focus on how these relate to transparency, accountability, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has published widely in reputable journals, served as Editor, Managing Editor, and Guest Editor, and acted as Track Chair at major international conferences, including those held in Ghana and Uganda. He is also a recipient of several research travel, and best paper awards.

Beyond academia, Assoc Prof. Ikpor has consulted for organizations such as ActionAid Nigeria and NEWMAP, and served as a member of the Ebonyi State Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Government Income and Expenditure. He also collaborates with NGOs on climate change accounting and finance. He is the Managing Director/CEO of Heritage Excellent Professionals, an accounting tech firm providing training, consultancy, and advisory services in accounting software, spreadsheets, and general accounting solutions.

Assoc. Prof. Ikpor stands out as an academic whose work bridges accounting, sustainability, governance, and the public sector, particularly in the Nigerian context. His combination of international training, local academic leadership and applied research makes him a noteworthy figure in the field of accounting in Africa. His guiding philosophy is: “Those who inspire others to aspire never expire.” He is married and blessed with beautiful children.


BIOGRAPHY OF DR. BEATRICE CHINYERE ENEJE - Associate Editor
 
Dr. Beatrice Chinyere Eneje is an accomplished scholar and lecturer in Accounting Alex Ekwume Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ebonyi State. She holds a PhD in Accounting and has severa decades of academic experience in teaching, research, and consultancy. Her research integrates contemporary developments in accounting systems and, with a particular focus on financial reporting, accounting reforms,and financial performance.
 
Dr. Eneje’s scholarly contributions have been featured in several high-impact peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. Her ongoing research explores the transformative role of digital tax platforms in enhancing government revenue mobilization and promoting financial transparency in emerging economies. She also engages in interdisciplinary research examining how technological innovations influence financial reporting quality and institutional accountability.
 
In addition to her research activities, Dr. Eneje has supervised postgraduate theses, served as a reviewer for academic journals, and collaborated on funded research projects addressing sustainable fiscal governance and digital financial inclusion in sub-Saharan Africa.
She is a fellow of certified national accountants of Nigeria (FCNA)and Associate member Chartered institute of taxation of Nigeria (ACTI).
Dr Eneje sits at the Board of the AEFUNAI Journal of Behavioural Accounting, as Associate Editor.

BIOGRAPHY OF DR. NNACHI EGWU ONUOHA - Deputy Managing Editor

Nnachi Egwu Onuoha holds a doctorate degree in Accounting from University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, Enugu, Nigeria. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and currently with the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Management Sciences, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. His research interests include: Sustainability reporting, performance management, intellectual capital and contemporary issues in accounting. Dr Onuoha has published articles in Journal of Intellectual Capital, Measuring Business Excellence, African Journal of Economic and Management Studies and African Journal of Business and Economic Research.

He sits  at the Managerial Board of the Journal of Behavioural Accounting as the Deputy Managing Editor.


BIOGRAPHY OF ROBERT AZU NNACHI, PH.D., MSC, BSC, CNA - Associate Editor

ROBERT AZU Nnachi, Ph.D., MSc, BSc, CNA, is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He is also the Lead Consultant at RONACH Educational Consultancy Limited. He currently sits as chairman/member on the board of various business organizations, including educational bodies. He previously worked at the Office of the State Auditor-General, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, from 2001 to 2009, where he rose to the rank of Principal Auditor (GL 12) before joining Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana as a Lecturer from 2009 to 2014. Upon completing his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in accounting in 2014, he moved to his current place of work, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State. His research interest is in healthcare accounting, finance, and policy, a novel/emerging research area in accounting. He has over a decade of experience in teaching and research, spanning cost and management accounting, auditing, public Sector Accounting, Sustainability Reporting, and fund management, among others. 

He has published excellent Journal articles in reputable/ relevant academic journals and presented conference papers on different occasions. In 2018, he presented a unique paper on sustainability reporting at Harvard University, Boston, U.S.A. He has also participated in various modern professional, technical, and data analytical training programs, including Forensic Accounting Certification Training Programmes. Associate Professor Robert Azu Nnachi is also currently the Postgraduate coordinator in the department and has served as a reviewer for top-ranked journals.


BIOGRAPHY OF DR. IFEOMA GLORIA DURUZOR - Finance Officer

 
Dr. Ifeoma Gloria Duruzor is a distinguished scholar and lecturer in the Department of Accountancy, Faculty of Management Sciences, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting (2005), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management (2008), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) obtained in 2019.
Her academic and research interests cut across financial reporting, corporate governance, strategic management, and the intersection of accounting with emerging technologies. Dr. Duruzor is passionate about advancing accounting scholarship through research, mentorship, and practical engagement with the evolving dynamics of business and finance.
She remains committed to promoting excellence in teaching, contributing to knowledge through scholarly publications, and supporting the development of ethical and innovative accounting professionals for global relevance.
 
She serves as the editorial finance officer of the journal of behavioural Accounting, department of Accountancy Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ebonyi State Nigeria.

BIOGRAPHY OF DR. NNAM HILARY IKECHUKWU - EDITORIAL SECRETARY

Dr. Nnam Hilary Ikechukwu is a lecturer in Accountancy department of Alex Ekwueme federal university Ndufu Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State Nigeria. He holds Ph.D. in Accounting from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture umudike Umuahia Abia State, M.Sc. in Accounting from University of Calabar, Cross River State Calabar, B.Sc. in accounting from Ebonyi State University Ebonyi State. He also holds ordinary national diploma {OND} in accounting from Akanu Ibiam Federal polytechnic Unwana Afikpo Ebonyi State.

He is an astute academia and a writer who is highly motivated for academic excellent, flexibility in learning and impacting same to others around him. He has published widely both locally and international journals of global impeccable repute which informed the acceptance and publication of one of his papers in 2017 on capital structure with building materials in Nigeria, published in Lincoln journal of social and political thought vol 9 (2), 61-67 London.

Before joining Alex Ekwueme federal university in September 2019, he worked as an accountant with Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri Imo State from 2012 to 2014, he worked as  an account officer Ebonyi State Poultry farm from 2006 to 2008. He also served as a national president of his local government student union government from 2011 to 2012.

During his M.Sc defense in 2016 he won an award from the external examiner as the fastest M.Sc. student and the first person to carry out M.Sc. research in capital structure  in correlation with building material companies quoted in Nigerian stock exchange in accountancy department since the university of Calabar began. And the external examiner immediately requested that a concept note be built in his name and kept in the department as a monument for venturing into a new research area of study which is quoted building materials companies with capital structure.  

He has also been a member of different committees at the department and faculty levels such as member welfare committee 2022, two times member faculty conference committee 2022 and 2023 and now departmental board journal secretary 2025.


BIOGRAPHY OF DR. EDEH LAWRENCE SUNDAY - Editor
Dr Edeh Lawrence Sunday is a lecturer in Alex Ekwueme federal University Ndufu Alike Ebonyi state, Nigeria.
He holds both Ph.D and MSc in accounting from Ebonyi state university and Emeka Odumegwu Ojuku University Anambra state, Nigeria.Dr Edeh Lawrence Sunday is a distinguished Scholar whose research works focuses on various areas in Accounting such as management accounting, Auditing, Taxation etc.His most area of expertise is management accounting and corporate governance practices.
He has written numerous articles which have been published in both local and international accredited journals.
Dr Edeh Lawrence Sunday is a fellow of Nigeria institute of management, institute of management Consultants, Nigeria and member of Association for the promotion of African studies(APAS). He has attended many conferences and equally received many merit awards from notable organisations.
He is a lover of Education and good researcher. He is married and blessed with four children.

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF DR. PERPETUA IJEOMA ONUOHA, ACA, FCAI, FAMSSRN - Editor

Dr. Perpetua Ijeoma Onuoha is a seasoned academic and researcher with a strong background in taxation and auditing. She currently serves as Lecturer I in the Department of Accountancy, Alex - Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Nigeria, and as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.

She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting (2021) and a B.Sc. in Accounting (2006) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, as well as an M.Sc. in Accounting (2014) from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.

Dr. Onuoha began her professional career at the Federal Medical Centre, Abakaliki (now Alex - Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki), where she served as Accountant I from 2010 to 2011. She later joined the Ebonyi State College of Education, where she rose from Lecturer II to Senior Lecturer between 2011 and 2016. In 2016, she joined Alex - Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, where she has served in various academic and administrative capacities, rising from Assistant Lecturer to Lecturer I.

She has held various membership positions in both departmental and faculty committees. Currently, she is the Chairman of the Accountancy Departmental Resource and Development Committee.

Dr. Onuoha is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA), a Fellow of the Association of Management and Social Science Researchers of Nigeria (FAMSSRN), and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administrators (FCAI).

She has authored and co-authored over 40 scholarly publications in both local and international journals. She previously served as Deputy Director, School of Educational Services at AE-FUNAI and currently leads the Communique Team in the Department of Accountancy. Her academic and professional pursuits are driven by a passion for excellence, ethical accounting practice, and research that strengthens governance, accountability, and sustainable development.

She is a devoted Christian and is happily married with five children.

BIOGRAPHY OF DR. KINGSLEY SUNDAY UZOADIGONMA OYEKEZIE - Editor

Kingsley Sunday Uzoadigonma Oyekezie holds a Ph.D, M.Sc, B.Sc and HND in Accounting obtained from Ebonyi State University, Anambra State University (now Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University), Tansian University and Federal Polytechnic Bida respectively. He also has a PGD in Financial Management obtained from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi. Currently, he doubles as the University Bursar of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike and a lecturer in the Department of Accountancy, where he taught Taxation Theory and Practice. He has several peer reviewed articles in reputable journals. He has both academic and administrative experiences to his credit. He is a professional accountant to the core viz-a-viz: Fellow of ICAN and CITN; and Associate member of CPFA, MCAI, and NIM. Finally, he was the past chairman of ICAN Abakaliki and District Society and ICAN Eastern Zonal Districts for 2023/2024 Chairmanship year.
